Maryland SQR Box Should Have a Nest

Site 5
Reports are Good. With a Red Phased being seen quite frequently recently. Could be warmer weather. A female needing to incubate during cool-cold weather may not show herself until after dark, and only briefly leave the nest so long as food is available (male can feed her). As the weather warms, the mother warmth isn’t as critical to incubation. So the female can peek out of the box. Also as the owlets grow they are less dependent on mom for warmth. and as the get bigger, they move around so much mom might need to get some quiet time up and out of the reach of the young ones.
