Falling Trees

Site 6. no owls in the owlbox (upper center of photo), but no damage either, the pine in the foreground broke off the top of the tree in the background, again Feb 26, 2010
WBZtv has a great slide show that shows the extent of the damage from NE Massachusetts through S. New Hampshire.
Anyway,
A pair of Great Horned owls are heard a few times a week, so they may be nesting on site or very near by. If so hopefully their nest survived the storm.

Uprooted

Site 1. a tree that was uprooted in Feb 26 storm came with-in inches of the natural roost, now used by squirrels.
